Biography Excerpt:
Meher Baba was quite certain that he was God incarnate, the Avatar (incarnation of God) of the Age. Who else would title his book, God Speaks? His overwhelming love for humanity, his selfless service and rigorous austerity, and his apparent omniscience, communicated via alphabet board, sign language and books, despite a forty-four-year vow of silence, are convincing evidence that if not the divine Avatar, he was at least an extraordinarily spiritual and compassionate human being.
Enlightenment Story Excerpt:
When the five Perfect Masters bring
me down they draw a veil over me. Although Babajan was in
the form ot a woman, she was one of them
(the five Perfect Masters) and she unveiled me in my present form. With
just a kiss on the forehead, between the eyebrows, Babajan made me experience
(May, 1913) thrills of indescribable bliss which continued for about nine
months. The one night (January, 1914) she made me realize in a flash the
infinite bliss of self--realization (God-realisation).
